Entered in the State Register of Grape Varieties in 2001.

This variety was bred at the Vine Research Centre of Perná by F. Zatloukal and L. Michlovský by crossing (Riesling x Saint Laurent) x Zweigeltrebe

The garnet-coloured wine contains supple tannins and has a pleasingly ample body.

It is of medium to vigorous growth, leaves are smaller, circular, the bunches are medium-sized and dense. Berries are of medium size and somewhat flattened, the skins are blueish-black in appearance. Crop is high with good must-weight levels. 

Red wines are smooth, well-balanced and full.

Basic characteristics of quality wines:

The garnet-coloured wine contains supple tannins and has a pleasingly ample body. It can be compared to fully mature wine made from the Zweigeltrebe grape variety.
