CHÂTEAU VALTICE with its unique Wine 100DOLA with the "Temple of Wine" connected to the historical heart of this purely Moravian family winery, the Cross Cellar A.D. 1640, became the absolute CHAMPION OF THE YEAR in the competition "TOP WINERY DESTINATION 2023".

TOP WINEMAKING GOAL is a unique competition based on the voting of visitorsvisitors who choose between 234 "wine destinations" in the Czech Republic, i.e. Wine cellars, wine shops, wineries, but also wine guesthouses and other wine tourism destinations. Each included wine destination has its own expert guarantor who sponsors the nomination for the competition.

TOP WINERY DESTINATION is a unique competition

CHÂTEAU VALTICE has advanced to the "CHAMPIONS" category. This category was created only a few years ago. Unique wine destinations that, like us, have won several medal placements in the past few years are promoted to this category. With a bit of healthy exaggeration, it's like making it to the final group of the Champions League in football, so we already value this promotion very highly.

"For us to be the overall winner of the competition is a great recognition of our work over the years, which has been backed by a whole team of people at all levels. The result of our work starts in our own vineyards and the work of our vineyards and our winemaking "masters" in producing the best wines. I consider the second pillar of our success to be the art of combining winemaking with architectural concepts, as has been the case since time immemorial. After almost a hundred years, we are once again succeeding in restoring and developing the concept of the original wine dominion. We use original materials such as stone, brick and wood. We go step by step. The aim is to create a humble and timeless character of the wine dominion, which is related to the original architecture of the Lednice-Valtice area. We consider the third pillar of our winery's success to be the establishment of top-quality services and the opening of the winery to all wine lovers. The success is then the result of the work of the entire team and people working at all levels. Behind everything is a "pile" of dedicated work and as they say, a team is only as good as its "weakest" link." says David Št'astný from CHÂTEAU VALTICE.

Every such victory is always a big commitment for us for the next period to maintain our quality and deserve the award. At the same time, it is an encouragement for further work, which is still far ahead of us. There is always room for improvement.
