The family winery of Jan Vanek was established in 1995. At present, it manages and processes grapes from 4.5 ha of its own vineyards, located in the vineyards U sv. Urbana and Dívčí hora. The winery's philosophy is to combine the gentle processing of grapes using modern technologies with the subsequent traditional vinification of wine in wooden barrels.
Sauvignon belongs among the most popular three white wines together with the Chardonnay and Riesling varieties. It is assumed that it comes from the French region of Bordeaux or from the Loire region. The most typical Sauvignons can be found in the Znojmo or Mikulov region.
