The subject of activity of the family business "Vinařství Zapletal" established in 1994 is the cultivation of grapes, production and sale of wine and developing wine tourism. The activity is based on a family tradition dating back to the early 19th century. This is evidenced by the historic grape press from 1818, which is still owned by the family. The winery is run by Václav Zapletal, who was joined by his son Jan after studying at the Secondary Wine School and MZLU in Brno.
Welschreisling is an old and highly prized variety of unknown origin. It is one of the most cultivated in our country (8.5% of the total area of vineyards). Excellent terroir for "Vlašák" is offered mainly by the Pálavské vrchy, Mikulov, Slovácko and Velkopavlovice subregions or the Šobes vineyard in the Znojmo region.
